The Chicago Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association was formed in 1967 as a non-profit, professional organization of international trade practitioners. Over the past 40 years, membership has grown to over 200 firms actively engaged in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, and related import / export trade activities.

The association strives to "enhance industry professionalism" by:

  • -- Conducting seminars and conferences for excellence through education.

  • -- Meeting with local government agencies to advocate efficient local policies.

  • -- Providing an open forum for all initiatives that impact local trade.

Regular membership is open to any individual or firm that holds a customs brokerage license or holds registration as a freight forwarder. Associate membership is available for all other interested parties, especially those engaged in related business activities, such as trucking, consulting, education, and legal services.

Interested visitors may fill out a membership application using the link in the left menu. The annual membership fee is $225.00, which supports access to a wide variety of seminars, entertainment and information.
