BROKER TOP TEN RED FLAGS WHEN PROCESSING CUSTOMS ENTRIES & HOW TO DEAL WITH THEM

Brokers are being scrutinized more than ever by Customs and their Importer clients.  The Broker’s requirement to exercise responsible supervision and control must include strong audit procedures to ensure entries are filed in accordance with Customs laws and regulations.  During these audits brokers often see anomalies, inconsistencies, and errors in supporting documents.  During this session we will discuss some of the most common red flags that can be easily identified during a broker’s review of the documents supporting an entry and suggestions on how to deal with them.
